  L&D Travel RN • Monitor patient throughout (before/during/after) the labor• Provide information, guidance and hands-on clinical care to expectant parents.• Monitor fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor. • Administer medications and treatments as ordered to assigned patients.• Provide guidance to new parents on all aspects of recovery and infant care.• If necessary, respond to a medical emergency and alert appropriate team members.• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.• Availability to work the facility's required schedule.• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.• Also referred to as: Labor and Delivery registered nurse, obstetrical nurse, OB nurse.
  
  Job Requirements• 2 years of experience as a L&D nurse• Graduate from an accredited nursing school• Current state specific RN license in good standing, or if applicable, a compact state RN license in good standing• BLS certification required
