Job Description:
A company is looking for a dedicated Medical Laboratory
Scientist 1 (MLS 1).
Key Responsibilities
Follows standard protocol for patient/donor identification and
specimen labeling
Participates in laboratory clinical practice teams and hospital
committees
Ensures quality specimens for testing by recognizing pre-analytical
factors affecting results
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science, preferably in Medical Laboratory
Science or Medical Technology
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program or ABHES
accredited MLT program within the last 12 months
Must be eligible for ASCP or AMT Board certification
Certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire date
Other acceptable education/experience will follow ASCP/AMT
guidelines
