for a Supervisor of Clinical Social Worker LCSW. The acute care
Supervisor of Medical Social Work LCSW will join the family of

their lives. The Supervisor of Clinical Social Worker LCSW will
supervise a clinical social work team and a chaplain to efficiently
and effectively provide psychosocial and spiritual care to
inpatients, outpatients, their families and significant others. The
Medical Social Work Supervisor will assist the Director of Case
Management in managing the activities and resources of the Social
Work, Palliative Care program, and the Community Assessment
Coordinators; as well as department staffing and department
budgets. The Supervisor of Clinical Social Worker LCSW will
complete performance evaluations and maintains accountability for
their work team. The person in this role will provide clinical
supervision for registered Associate Clinical Social Workers (ACSW)
and/or Medical Social Worker (MSW) per the regulations outlined by
the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Board of
Behavioral Sciences. The Supervisor of Medical Social Worker LCSW
will serve as a clinical consultant to social work team members,
providing guidance and/or direct intervention in resolving
challenging situations and high risk, problem-prone cases. The
Supervisor of Clinical Social Worker LCSW will assist in writing
policies and procedures, in assuring the social work program s
compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, and
in the development and monitoring of quality assurance programs.
The Medical Social Work MSW Supervisor participates on medical
center and/or community committees as assigned by the Director. The
Clinical Social Work LCSW Supervisor is responsible for identifying
operational barriers to effective provision of services and seeking
resolution, and for providing services in an efficient and
cost-effective manner. In addition to operational responsibilities,
the Supervisor of Clinical Social Worker LCSW provides direct
clinical social work services. This requires using a broad
knowledge base of human behavior, providing biopsychosocial
assessment and intervention to inpatients, outpatients, their
